The assembly was opened with the address by Rev. Arturo Sosa SJ, the Superior General of the Society of Jesus entitled “DISCERNING THE PRESENT TO PREPARE THE FUTUREOF THE UNIVERSITY EDUCATION OF THE SOCIETY OF JESUS”. He divided his address into several important points including preparing the future by discerning the present, a life full of meaning, sowing in thirsty soil, intergenerationality and interculturality, and other fascinating and crucial topics. Most of the presidents/rectors and international officers of AJCU-AP attended the assembly. On the last day of the assembly Father General Arturo Sosa SJ met the AJCU-AP delegates for 30 minutes to listen to the updates, concerns, challenges, and plans of Asia-Pacific mission (Ouda/22).
