Representatives from several AJCU‑AP institutions visited Hong Kong for the 2026 Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and used the occasion to reconnect as a regional Jesuit higher education community. Delegates from Sogang University, Fu Jen Catholic University, Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Davao University and Sophia University gathered in the city for the week’s events.

To celebrate the occasion and strengthen ties among member institutions, the group met for a pleasant dinner on February 26th. Hosted on behalf of Fr. John Tang, Warden of Ricci Hall, the gathering offered a warm and relaxed environment following the delegates’ stay in Hong Kong’s mild late‑winter weather.

Conversations throughout the evening reflected the shared mission and long-standing relationships within the AJCU‑AP network. The group was also delighted to welcome Prof. Anselm Lam from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, who joined the dinner and contributed to the rich discussion.

The evening concluded with positive energy and renewed commitment to continued collaboration and friendship, setting an encouraging tone for the future projects across the Asia‑Pacific Jesuit higher education community.
