The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in Asia Pacific (AJCU-AP) participated in the 2025 Assembly of the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU), held from June 30 to July 3 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
AJCU-AP was represented by twelve member institutions: The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies; Ricci Hall – The University of Hong Kong; Polytechnic ATMI Surakarta; Sanata Dharma University; Sophia University; Sogang University; Xavier University; Ateneo de Naga University; Ateneo de Manila University; Ateneo de Zamboanga University; Xavier Learning Community; and Instituto São João de Brito.
The assembly brought together representatives from Jesuit universities and colleges worldwide to reflect on the timely and urgent theme, “Our Mission in Challenging Times.” Delegates from AJCU-AP actively contributed to plenary discussions, working groups, and networking activities that aimed to deepen collaboration across the global Jesuit higher education network.
Opening with a Eucharistic celebration, the assembly served as a moment of collective reflection and renewed purpose. AJCU-AP stood in solidarity with different Jesuit institutions across the globe—united in faith, committed to justice, and steadfast in advancing a shared mission of transformative education amid challenging times.
